Coronavirus updates from Public Health England
March 23rd 2020
Following the latest government guidance any patients who have a high temperature or a new continuous cough should stay at home and self-isolate for seven days. Any other family or household members should also isolate for 14 days.
A document which gives advice on how to self-isolate is available here: Advice on self isolating for Patients.
During this period you can certify yourself unfit for work, and will not need a fit note from NHS 111 or the surgery. Anyone who is self-isolating for longer than 7 days, and needs a note to confirm they have been self-isolating, can now ask for a form here: NHS 111 Self-isolation Note
If you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home, if your condition gets worse, or if your symptoms do not get better after seven days, please use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service at 111.nhs.nk/covid-19. You should only call 111 if you cannot get help online.
To help reduce any coronavirus risks for patients and staff, we have made changes to our appointment booking systems with immediate effect.
We will now be doing telephone triage for ALL patients who are requesting new appointments, to reduce the number of people visiting the surgery.
