The community Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) service provides specialist advice and treatment for ENT conditions. Our ENT specialist doctors aim to diagnose your condition, arrange any investigations and provide treatment if necessary.

How can we help you?

The clinic sees people with:

  • Blocked/runny noses
  • Sinus problems
  • Hearing problems
  • Throat discomfort
  • Recurrent nose bleeds
  • Balance problems
  • Voice problems
  • Ear problems
  • Wax removal

If your condition requires surgery, further specialist management or treatment, the doctor will then refer you to a hospital of your choice.

How to access the service:

Your GP will refer you to our service. A member of our ENT admin team will then contact you to arrange your appointment.

Clinical Lead: Dr Lindsay Smith is a GP with an Extended Role in ENT.

We also work with ENT Consultants from major Birmingham Hospitals, GPs with Extended Roles and Nurse Specialists.

What happens at the appointment?

Patients should bring a list of current medications to the appointment. You will be seen by an ENT specialist doctor who will assess your condition and recommend treatment or a management plan.
