Bellevue Medical Centre
For chest pain or severe breathing difficulties dial 999 immediately
To speak to a doctor or prescribing nurse:
Contact the surgery by phone and select option 1, or through our website or appointment app here.
If you feel you have an urgent medical problem the practice offers telephone consultations, GP triage / assessment and same day review.
Your receptionist can often help to direct you to the most appropriate service. They may ask you the reason you need to be seen. This is asked to support you in accessing the service that best meets your needs and is passed to the doctor to ensure they are able to help you appropriately.
Urgent care is provided by the Practice team and unfortunately it is not possible to offer you a GP of choice, though wherever possible we will endeavour to offer you preference of a male / female GP if the reason for your appointment is sensitive.
Urgent care is usually for one problem only. If you have more than one problem please tell the doctor you speak to or see. This will ensure you receive the most appropriate care and prevents lengthy waits for other patients.
Repeat Prescriptions: Unfortunately we do not issue repeat prescriptions over the telephone. Please see the "prescriptions" info tab for information on how to order your repeat prescription.

Our telephone lines are open from 08:00 - 18:30 Monday to Friday with the exception of Thursday between 13:00 -14:00 to allow for whole Practice meetings. We are also closed once a month on a Wednesday afternoon to support staff updates and training that allow us to continue to offer patients service excellence.
We appreciate that it can be difficult to get through to the surgery at times. We endeavour to do our best to answer your calls as soon as possible. If you do experience difficulties please support us in identifying improvements by completing a feedback form noting the date and time you tried to call.
Calls from patients are at their busiest between 08:00 and 10:00, especially for patients requiring urgent care and home visits. We would ask you to call outside these hours where possible for routine queries.
