Patients in Hull to benefit from new GP super-partnership

In an exciting new development, four GP practices in Hull have joined together to create a new division of a GP super-partnership called Modality Partnership.

The group of Hull practices include Faith House Surgery, New Hall Surgery, Newland Group Medical Practice and Springhead Medical Centre. All practices are fully committed to NHS values and the provision of excellent care to their registered patients.

In the future there will be service developments to help improve access to appointments at GP surgeries. Modality Partnership are part of an NHS England national programme, set up to transform care patients receive from their GP practice. This includes offering more care services closer to home.  It is expected that patients and staff will benefit from these changes and help to secure the future of our GP services in Hull.

Dr Naresh Rati, GP and CEO of Modality Partnership said: “We welcome the expansion of Modality Partnership into Hull, there are 16 Hull partners who are joining us and will share 48,000 patients across their practices.

“It is great working with like-minded local GPs who are coming together to transform general practice in their local area.”

Dr Ros Davies, GP and lead for the new division of Modality Partnership said:  “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to make a real difference, leading the way in shaping new models of care for our patients.

“By being a part of a larger group of GP practices, we can realistically achieve our goals and deliver excellent patient care for all. This will help us to improve access and care for all of our patients and to create sustainable GP services that are fit for the future.

“We have chosen to work with Modality Partnership as they share our same ethos and vision for the future of patient care and GP led services.”

Following the recent launch event (Friday 7 April), further staff and patient engagement will take place in all practices over the coming weeks.
